Guest Nails of the Day

I hope everyone had a good weekend!  I know I did.  My boyfriend and I were visiting with my family and friends in NY for the weekend.  The weather was really good, though pretty hot at times.  Everyone had a great time though!

This morning I had some nail polishing requests by my 7-year-old niece Kayla, my sister Jen, and her friend Lori.  I had a decent array of colors with me, plus some new polishes I'd picked up during the trip (haul post possibly tomorrow!) so I let them pick their poison and I went to work.

Here are the end results.  Just pics for now, but if you see a color or glitter you'd like to know more information about feel free to ask me in the comments!

(Excuse the salt shakers/bad quality phone pics in the 1st two pics, forgot to take the pics when the polish bottles and my camera were accessible...so we improvised, lol)

Kayla's pink/blue shatter

Lori's pink sparkly tips

Jen's sparkly teal w/ shatter accents (sun and shade pics)

It was fun getting to do some other nails besides my own, maybe I'll try to recruit friends to work on more often!

What do you think of these?  I think my favorite of the three is the last set, done on my sister.  Which is your fave?

  2. I like the sparkly ones. Reminds me of when I was a kid and they had that plain glitter polish you could put on top of any other nail polish...only it wasn't as decorative, obviously. I do remember the glittery stuff was super hard to remove. Do you have that problem with this kind of nail polish?

  3. @Stephanie Faris: Yea, glitters are a little tougher to get off the nail than regular polishes, but there are tricks to it, like soaked cotton balls on the fingers for a few min before removal, or some tin foil technique I've heard that a lot of people do. I tend to soak them a few minutes myself.
