Scherer Nail Polish: CQ polishes

A while back, I blogged about a color by Scherer CQ called Rustic Dream.  Since then I have received several more colors from this line to review for you guys!

Some info from their facebook page:
"CQ Nail and Cosmetics utilizes high quality packaging and formulations that are sold at very competitive prices. These sophisticated products and elegant color selections make this line one of the most fashionable lines available."

Now for the colors!

 Golden Green
Golden Green is, as the name suggests, a gold/green color!  I have heard of it being compared to Chanel's Peridot, but as I don't own a Chanel polish, I am unable to swatch them side-by-side to compare them.  As you can see from the pic, the finger on the left appears more green than the others as the lighting hits it and you can see the gold peeking through!  It's gorgeous!  I only needed 2 coats of this polish and the formula was great!

 Idyllic

Idyllic is a super shiny duochrome polish!  It goes from looking golden/bronze/orange to more of a dark maroon/plum shade!  It's so pretty! I was able to catch pictures of it in two different lighting types and you can see the difference in the color depending on how the light hits it!  If you like duochrome polishes this is a definite must-have!  Once again, 2 coats for opacity and another winning formula!
Pearls
Pearls might just look like white polish in the picture but it actually is a creme polish with a really pretty hidden shimmer!  I don't know if I would wear this on its own, as wearing polish that is basically white in appearance is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I think I would definitely love stamping over this, or doing some other sort of nail art or layering on top of it.  I thought I would need 3 coats of this due to the first coat going on pretty thin and streaky, but the second coat took care of those issues and it was completely opaque!  Not the best of the CQ formulas I've used but not bad either.

Silver Taupe
When I saw this color in the bottle I didn't think I would wind up liking Silver Taupe as much as I did!  This sort of color doesn't usually look very good on me, so I was skeptical.  In the picture it looks a bit more brown-leaning than it really is, but it's super pretty!  It has that glass-fleck finish and is super shiny.  The formula on this one was really thin so I needed 3 coats and probably could have used a 4th honestly.  I still really like it though and look forward to wearing it as a full mani sometime!

CQ Nail polish by Sherer can be found in Rite Aid stores.  You can learn more information about the company by visiting their website or "liking" their facebook page.

  5. They must have added even more new colors to the line because I haven't seen Silver Taupe or Pearls yet! :D Exciting! I only have a few polishes from this line (Idyllic, Corduroy, Slate) but I love all the ones I have. And I totally agree - Idyllic is AMAZING!
