My first Jelly Sandwich!

Today for pink wednesday I decided to try out my first glitter jelly sandwich!  I had seen it done in blogs all the time and kept meaning to try one out for myself but never got around to it before now.

I decided to choose one of my "Just Tinted" Revlon polishes, since they are perfect jellies to work with.

I chose the color called Desire. It looks like this by itself:
2 coats of Revlon Desire, Just Tinted Polish

Next step was adding the glitter layer...Here's where I kind of think I might have gone wrong...I chose Black Out by KleanColor.

After adding this step, this is how my nails looked:
As you can see, this glitter has some tinting in its base...and I think that might have caused some issues when I got to the final step.  I'll let you guys be the judge in the end if it was a fail or not.

Last step was adding another coat of Desire to sandwich the glitter between.  Here is how it looked in the end:

I don't think it's a total fail but I think it looks a little bit...murkier...than I would have liked it to be.  I think next time I will choose a glitter that has a sheerer base for the glitter so that it does not interfere with the Jelly polish that it is sandwiched with.  Overall I don't think it's a bad outcome for a first try though!

What do you think?
