Wet N Wild On the Prowl!

Ok Ok, I know it's a little late and Halloween is already over, but I still would love to share this amazing Wet N Wild Collection with you all!

This was a very hard to come by set in many parts of the country.  I was lucky enough to have a friend who snagged a set for me (thanks Jeanne!).

There are 8 polishes in the On The Prowl collection:

Ink Well
Ink Well might look like your average black polish but it is AWESOME.  First of all, it is opaque in 1 coat.  Secondly, I could be wrong, but I feel like the finish of this polish is different from say, Ebony Hates Chris.  I own both but don't have a comparison prepared.  The finish on this one is kind of leathery but super shiny.

Ready to Pounce
Ready to Pounce is a shiny deep purple.  I love the shimmer in this color, it's such a rich color!  This is also good in just 1 coat.

Buy Me A Drink
Buy Me A Drink is a shimmery wine colored polish.  I feel like a broken record, but the shine on these polishes is just incredible.  This is 1 coat with no top coat.  Super pretty!

Jungle Fever
Jungle Fever is a frosty metallic green shimmer.  I needed 2 coat on this one to get the opacity I wanted.  I really love this color, it's very unique to my collection! (which is saying a LOT!).

Tangled In My Web (over Jungle Fever)
Tangled in My Web is such a fun glitter!  It's small black glitter in a clear base. You can use this polish to give little black polka dots to any color you want to spice up a little!  It's so awesome and one of the most sought-after colors in this collection.

Cougar Attack (over Ink Well)
Cougar Attack is another great glitter polish!  It's a black jelly with small orange glitter throughout.  Definitely best if you're layering over dark colors, and is super pretty!

Behind Closed Doors (over Ink Well)
Behind Closed Doors is probably the most popular polish in this collection.  Mostly because it is said to be a very. very close dupe for Deborah Lippmann's "Ruby Red Slippers". I can't personally vouch for that fact since I don't have the Lippmann polish, but I have seen enough comparisons on other blogs to say that it is true.  This one is so stunning!  It's a sheer black jelly with different sized red glitters throughout.  I will note that you should definitely layer this over a dark color or else it will take many coats and you probably won't like the result as much.

Just for fun I "mattified" one finger of Cougar Attack and Behind Closed Doors.  They both look great this way too, don't you think?
Cougar Attack & Behind Closed Doors mattified
Last but not Least, we have Correction Tape.  This is a fun multi-colored glitter in a clear base.  It was a little hard to spread around but I love the look so it's totally worth it!  I layered it over each of the 4 colors in this collection that are not glitters (Ink Well, Ready To Pounce, Buy Me A Drink, and Jungle Fever)

All in all I think this was a great collection and I am just sorry so many people had trouble obtaining a set of them!

I think Wet N Wild has been upping their "game" immensely with their last several collections and I am excited to see what else they have in store in the coming months!

Do you own the On The Prowl collection? Which is your favorite polish in the set?

  1. I love behind closed doors mattified!

  2. I'd love to get my nails into some of these.

  3. Beautiful swatches!! I should have gotten Tangled in My Web!

  4. i'm not much for matte, but i love your combos :) i still have to tey correction tape!

  5. I like the matte. I need to get me a matte topcoat.

  6. Beautiful swatches and layerings! :D I'm so happy you got this set! *throws confetti* :D

I hunted for this collection at almost 80 drugstores in 3 different states (not counting repeat visits to check in with stores that didn't have it). I know. I'm totally crazy for doing that. :/ I finally had to give up. I just couldn't take it anymore, lol! XD I just decided to be happy for the people who did find it and move on.

As for my favorite...I would have to say it's a three way tie between Behind Closed Doors, Tangled in My Web, and Correction Tape. :D I just can't decide! Enjoy these special beauties! <3
