Splatter!

So I did this mani a few days ago but wanted to share it now that I have a blog to do so!  This was my first attempt at a "splatter mani" which I first saw (and LOVED) on The PolishAholic (if you haven't already checked out Jen's site you MUST, it's amazing!).

Here's the best pic I wound up getting of the result, the rest were either blurry or totally didn't capture the pop of these awesome colors very well...still getting the hang of nail photography!

As you can see, I did the splatter on three nails and just accented on my thumb and ring fingers.  For this mani I used a base coat of OPI Nail Envy.  The main color on the nail is Worth the Risque (Color Club), and the splatter colors are China Glaze's Celtic Sun (Neon), and Dream On from Sinful Colors.  Top coat is Seche Vite.

For a first try I was really happy with the way this turned out, and it was a lot of fun too!  I only wound up wearing it for two days though because I smashed one of the nails into the counter and got a chip (boo!).

I will DEFINITELY be trying out more splatter manis in the future, I got so many compliments on this one in the short time I was wearing it!

Tomorrow I'll post some pics of the mani I did today, which was my second attempt at water marbling...g'nite!
